an answer to some frequently asked questions we have received.
Q: How many ways can I page an
alphanumeric pager on the A-1 Communications system?
A: You can reach an alphanumeric pager by:
- Telephone
- Dial the number of the pager.
- Using the telephone keypad, enter the callback telephone
number you wish displayed on the pager.
- Computer using an internet browser
(Internet Explorer,
Firefox, etc.)
- Using any standard browser, go to the A-1 website:
http://www.a1comm.net
- Click on the link that says "Send An E-mail Page" .
- Enter the telephone number of the pager to be paged in
the appropriate box.
- Enter the text message to be transmitted.
- Click on the "Send Now" button.
- Computer using an e-mail program
(Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.)
- Using any standard e-mail program, enter the E-page
address of the pager. The E-page address is "p", plus the
pager number, plus "@a1comm.net", (i.e. p5551234@a1comm.net
will reach the pager with a telephone number of 555-1234)
- Enter the text message to be transmitted in either the
subject line or the text box. Note: If entering text in
the body of the e-mail, the format must be plain text, not
HTML.
- Computer with Info-rad
- Enter the telephone number of the pager you wish to
reach.
- Enter the text you wish transmitted.
Info-rad will dial the telephone number for our
paging terminal alpha port.
Info-rad will send to the terminal the telephone
number of the pager to be paged.
Info-rad will send the text message to be
transmitted.
